COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Llanedi Community Council for an experienced Development Officer. The role will plan, implement, and monitor a range of community, sporting, recreational, cultural and environmental projects and events within the area and assist in planning the future sustainability of the Reading room and Hendy Cricket Club/Community Centre.

Bydd y swydd yn ymwneud â gwaith cynllunio, gweithredu a monitro amrywiaeth o brosiectau a digwyddiadau cymunedol, chwaraeon, hamdden, diwylliannol ac amgylcheddol o fewn yr ardal, yn ogystal â chynorthwyo gyda’r gwaith o gynllunio cynaladwyedd yr ystafell darllen ar Clwb Criced/Neuadd Cymunedol.


Hours of work: 30 – flexible to include evenings and occasional weekends. 
Salary £25,440 per annum – Pro Rata

THE TERRY PRICE
YOUTH ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 2018

The Llanedi Community Council will shortly be considering the nominations for the Terry Price Youth Achievement Award 2017.  The Award is intended to recognize and celebrate the achievements of young people under the age of 25 who reside within the Council’s area of responsibility – the villages of Tycroes, Llanedi, Fforest and Hendy (including Talyclun) and surrounding districts.The Award is given for significant personal achievement in any field, such as:-

  • Sport – including all team games, athletics and individual games

  • Creative and expressive arts – including drama, writing, music, art and crafts

  • Social, environmental and community activities – including any activities which improve the environment or the lives of people living in the community (for example, aiding the infirm, disabled or disadvantaged)

  • Academic success – including outstanding achievement in examinations or significant progress in overcoming particular personal difficulties, such as poor health, disability or other disadvantages.

The winning nominee will receive a plaque and a cash prize of £100.The closing date for nominations is MONDAY, THE 16th APRIL 2018 – so there is still time to get your nomination in.  To obtain the necessary details, you need to contact
